Customer Rating: Summary: too tight Comment: these things are extremely tight and dont position far enough down my nose. They definatley need a larger version.
Customer Rating: Summary: I love my clics! Comment: I got a pair of Clics because I was tired of putting my reading glasses on top of my head, in my pocket, or laying them down and losing them. I had 20/20 vision my whole life -- until my early 40s. It's frustrating enough to be reliant on reading glasses for so many things, and more maddening when you can't find them! I ran over two pairs with the car because they fell off my lap or out of my pocket when I got out of the car and landed underneath without me knowing (until I rolled over them later). I was buying three-packs of glasses at Costco every couple of months - and still frequently having to search for a pair when I needed them. (There were a few times that I found two pairs on my head at once, which is embarrassing, but better than having none!)
I've had one pair of clics for a couple of months and LOVE them. I put them around my neck in the morning and there they stay all day. They hang at about collar bone level (not too low) and are comfortable to wear like that all day. When I need them, they are right there and I just unclick the magnet at the nose and pop them on. They are comfortable on my nose and feel like a normal pair of glasses. Unlike my old glasses, my Clics don't get scratched because they never go in my pocket, purse or lap when not in use. They take a little getting used to (you might find yourself patting the top of your head for your glasses instead of reaching down for you Clics), but I am trained now and wouldn't ever go back to regular glasses.
I've read some complaints that have a valid basis, but are not concerns for me.
+Need to use two hands to put them on take them off. True. This doesn't phase me at all. It is actually fun to watch people's expressions when you do this, because they think you've just broken your glasses. Clics are a great conversation starter!
+Can't lean back on a head rest. Partly true. If you have the ear piece fully extended and lean back on a head-rest or pillow, it will push the glasses off your nose. The solution I have found is to fully shorten the ear piece (which takes about two seconds to do). I also don't find myself leaning my head back when I'm using my reading glasses, so this adjustment is seldom necessary.
+Doesn't work for bigger heads or neck. Probably true. My neck and head are average width so not an issue.
+Interferes with hairstyles. True for some. I wear my shoulder-length hair in a pony tail a lot and so no worries with the back of the glasses lifting my hair. When my hair is down, the back of the glasses lifts my hair a bit, but this neither bothers me nor looks strange in my case.
In two months, I have never lost my Clics or had to hunt for them. On top of that, they are really affordable. I simply love them!
Customer Rating: Summary: Jay S. Comment: I love these glasses. In my line of work I am constantly looking up and down and they stay put never fall off. They fit securly around my head, and are easy to remove, I always know where they are.
Customer Rating: Summary: ILOVE Clics!!! Comment: Clics are the greatest for those of us who have shorter arms now that we are older!!!! I love them; they stay out of my way but are always there when I need them!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: fragile they are Comment: The Rep for this firm gets snaps for replacing the first pair broken by daily use. It broke when this huge Black Sergeant i work with gave me this playful bear hug from behind and I struggled pathetically to break free from his massive and I mean BIG Guns. I remember thinking "...Dang these things feel like tree trunks..." (Snap! broke the first pair) once he "locked me in" wrapped around me and tightening. Anaconda horseplay. Anyway, sorry for digressing there, back to the functionality. So when I went to the brick and mortar store to re-order they refunded me. As in check enclosed. I now sport the black 1.75's and have noticed a wide variety of strangers speak to me about them. It's a cool way to meet new peeps and bonus: chicks dig them. (not that I am using them for that). But it still it does seem trend savy young people notice them in check out lines. So together with the stoke from the Rep and the coolness of the design they get 4 stars. So Handy they are and yes they are perennially smudged. Who cares: they are readers. PS $32.00 in the store (Go Amazon)
